Project of the year 2011
Setting out to a life in fullness
The EMS annual project for 2011 is “Setting out to a life in fullness – building congregations and developing communities in Indonesia”. It follows a new approach involving EMS and four of the Indonesian churches in the EMS Fellowship. Together they are linking up economic development, work for peace and reconciliation, and the principles of organic agriculture.
The project partners in Indonesia are: the Toraja Church (GT), which initiated the project, the Toraja Mamasa Church (GTM), the Protestant Indonesian Church in Luwu (GPIL) and the Protestant Church in Southeast Sulawesi (GEPSULTRA).
Strong together
Young and old people, Christians and Muslims, men and women have set off for different project locations on the island of Sulawesi. They aim to be more economically successful together, find non-violent solutions for conflicts and be as environmentally friendly as possible – so that they and their children have a better future.
EMS has produced various project materials for congregations and groups: posters, leaflets, a cross-word puzzle and an interactive game for children. Upcoming materials: a short documentary, a meditation and delicious Indonesian recipes.
You are welcome to join in
EMS invites church congregations, groups and interested individuals to join in the two interactive activities.
Encourage children to take part in our children’s game and – get started on the cross-word puzzle.
