PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2005
"Fishing reconciles" is the title of a peace project managed by the Evangelical Church in Halmahera/North Moluccas. The EMS partner church supports and accompanies the establishment of interreligion fishery cooperatives. This joint fishing project is intended to help Christians and Muslims to overcome the hatred and injuries experienced during the violent clashes in the Moluccas from 1999 to 2002. The EMS community chose the "Fishing reconciles" project as Project of the Year 2005 and will provide special support to this initiative in the coming year.
