Peace project: Shelter and protection for girls
![]() |
"When Sangeetha first came to us, she was often very sad and withdrawn. She didn't play with the other children. It took a long time before she came to trust us," relates Doris Nellyet, directress of the home for young girls and schoolgirls in Mulki. Sangeetha's mother died a long time ago. Her father married a second time and Sangeetha was looked after by her aunt who took her to the home in Mulki. Today Sangeetha is very happy to live in Mulki. She can go to school, has enough to eat and above all she has got a place where she belongs to.
