The Association of Churches and Missions in South Western Germany (EMS) is an association of six protestant churches and four mission societies in Europe in partnership with 17 churches in Africa, Asia an the Middle East. The EMS is an ecumenical forum in which the member and partner churches participate equally in consultation, planning and decision-making. In the International Mission Council, each member and partner has a seat and a vote.

The annual project for 2008 Women living in a strange land – mission and migration focuses the attention of the EMS Fellowship to the situation of migrant women in East Asia and other countries. Groups and individuals are invited to engage creatively with the issue and take part in a join-in campaign.
