Join-In Campaign "Women living in a strange land"

››› Flyer Join-in campaign
Din A4 (pdf 206kb)

The join-in campaign is an invitation to build a bridge – towards a more aware perception of people with a migration background in our own milieu in Germany. People with and without a migration background are invited to make contact and reveal the experience of their encounter. We learn from one another when we listen attentively, tell each other something about our experience of life and faith, show photos and share in the most varied ways. That can happen in existing groups, in one-on-one talks or in school classes. That may lead to the production of text, e.g. written down after a story, an interview, or impressions noted from a diary. You, the participants, will possibly have quite different ideas … pictures, collages, photos, designed objects, a CD, a video …the main thing is that your “documentation” creatively reflects the encounter between people of differing backgrounds.
Send your results to the EMS Secretariat by 31 January 2009. A jury will screen the entries and, as appropriate, make a selection. Later on they will be displayed in public. The participants will be informed.

Learning to live in Peace
150 years Schneller Schools in the Near East is exemplary for a long-term and successful support. Today, both Schneller Schools in Jordan and in Lebanon are forerunners of a modern, holistic education, which encourages a peaceful living-together. The foundation was laid in Jerusalem in 1860 by Johann Ludwig Schneller, a Pietist from Wurttemberg. On occasion of the jubilee you are asked to send your peace-wish to the children. Please join in our postcard-campaign!
